Hugh Jackman denies he was offered $100 million.

So you know that jaw dropping offer that Hugh got last week to reprise Wolverine? Turns out it isn't true.... or is it? The wording of his denial makes me wonder. Entertainment Weekly caught up with Hugh Jackman and inquired about the news.





“No it’s not true,” says Jackman. “I would never do that. I’ve never done that mainly because, for the fans and for me, each time I’ve gone around there’s been a really good reason to do it and I don’t know what that reason is from here.

I’m in the middle of making this and I just promoted the other and I’m really happy with the way The Wolverine came out.”
I think there is more here  than meets the eye... so lets over analyze !

So he denies the offer and states he wouldn't do that., but it sounds like the offer is on the table and he just hasn't accepted yet.

For Pete's sake..... just let me finish this movie and give me some time to breathe!  

So it looks like Hugh is willing to return and maybe for less that rumored $100 million, but he wants time to step back from the character and play at least a few different roles. He knows that Wolverine is his signature role and he is thankful for the success it has brought him, but he just wants an opportunity to step back and relax without worrying about carrying a massive franchise on his back.  Because it looks like to me that Fox is going to make him the cornerstone of their Marvel Universe.
