Can't get enough Stallone in your television viewing diet? Well fret no more, cause Sly just might be heading your way on a weeky basis! Of course the when and where are still unknown... but have no fear for I shall speculate and ramble incessantly about the possibilities that aren't possible. Thanks to /Film
UPDATE: Turns out that Stallone has no intention of starring the the series or so says his reps check out the article on /Film for more.
But first we need to do our daily calisthenics.
Rumor has it that Stallone is looking into developing one of his signature franchises into a weekly TV series, the aforementioned Rambo.
One of the many problems facing it is finding a network that will let them go all violent and stuff, but depending on how violent they are planning to be I think that they could easily find a home on any cable network. If they are Uber-Violent then that will most likely limit them to premium channels, I think that in that scenario they would land on Showtime.
The only solid intel is that Stallone will definitely have creative input. Whether or not he will return as the title character is not known. But I think it would be foolish for him not to reprise the character and not give us closure to the character.
That closure could be brought about with just one season of 25 hour long episodes. If you have ever seen John Wayne's "The Shootist" you can easily imagine the scenario that would make for an awesome finale to the Rambo saga.
But what I would love to see even more is him taking on an unseen enemy of other worldly origins. This enemy would eventually be revealed to be The Predator! Except this time the predator has brought a friend along for the ride. With at least two of these aliens the powers that powers that be deciding they need help, they turn to Dutch. When informed that he will need more help, the powers that be realize there is only one person that would meet Dutch expectations, Carl Winslow!!!!!! Okay that's a lie, obviously I am referring to John Rambo.
But most likely we will never see Rambo again, which disappoints me because I enjoy the franchise.
